My Sketch World May Card Sketch Reveal

Yesterday was reveal day for the May card sketch over at My Sketch World and this is Lucy's sketch:

I needed a few graduation cards this year so I decided to use this sketch to get me started on my card.  My cousin's daughter Maddie graduated from Syracuse and their colors are blue and orange, so I decided to go with those colors and thought that this owl paper graduation paper from Doodlebug was too cute to pass by.  This is the card that I made.

Supplies used:

American Craft cardstock
Doodlebug Cap & Gown paper and stickers
Ranger Tim Holtz distressing ink - faded jeans
Creative Memories Hexagon punch
EK Border punch

Thanks for stopping by.  I will be back soon with some more graduation cards.

Karen's Spring Shape Challenge at MSW Forum

Karen is hosting a challenge for the Spring Fling at the MSW Forum and this is the card that I made.  I thought that all the pinks in this paper line reminded me of Spring.  We got my Silhoutte Cameo out last week and Kristi started figuring it out and has cut quite a few things in the past week or so.  I had not really had the chance to give it a try, but decided to try it for this card.  I cut the Happy Birthday with it and really liked the way it cut.  I think that you will be seeing a lot more this cut with it.

Karen's April Polka Dot Card Challenge

Karen is hosting a challenge over at My Sketch World this month to use something polka dot on your card.  I found a sketch of Lucy's and made this card.  I not only used two different print papers with polka dots, my brad is also polka dots.

The products that I used are:

Sassafras Sunshine Lollipops Wee Bundle
Offray Ribbon
Bazzill Happy Birthday Rub-on
EK label punch
Bazzill cardstock
Color Box Chestnut Roan chalk
Flowers & brad from my stash

This sketch from Lucy

This was a fun sketch and I liked being able to use up some things that I have had for quite some time.  I really liked that little paper pad when I bought it several years ago, so I am glad that I used it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Nik's Ombre Card Challenge

Nicole put up a challenge over at My Sketch World to make an Ombre card.  This was a fun challenge, I wanted to do it but wasn't sure what I was going to do.  I went in to my scrap room and looked at my paper trays and these oranges just jumped out at me.  I pulled the paper and picked out my border punch and left it on my desk while I went to work yesterday.  As I was thinking about it during the day I thought that a black background would make make it pop.  I really like the way it turned out.  I also decided to add the sentiment on a tag.

The products that I used for this card were:

Bazzill Cardstock (the oranges are bling, and black is plain)
Martha Stewart border punch
American Crafts Mini Mark Rub-On
Flowers and brad from my stash.

Thanks for looking.
